Keep Tropheus only with very similar fish, if you must keep them with any other fish. Similar means diet and digestion. Eretmodus is a good example. Keeping Tropheus with Frontosa can be done, but their diet is very different. I wonder if keeping Tropheus with dissimilar types of fish contributes to the problem with Bloat. http://www.cichlid-forum.com/articles/t ... n_tips.php But the also say Many people consider duboisi to be aggressive as well. I believe them to be less so than most think. They tend to do very little infighting. Usually when you get a good group the order seems to get set and varies little after that. They all seem to know their place and don’t move out of it. I do find duboisi to be a bit more fragile than the other groups. Protomelas Taeniolatus (Red Empress) are not peacock !! I dont see what this sale has to do with this post :evil: We have alway kept our fish pure ! Culled the ones we eventulay found to be hybrids (CHILUNBAS) I am sure there are other on here that can confirm this All we can hope for is that these fish are kept and bred pure as well as called what they are !

Fry go straight into a nice big 4 foot it helps with aggresstion and they grow much faster In there are 11 Ikola 12 T Dubs 8 Pemba

This lot are still doing well. We have a few females holding right now their fry will be added to this lot to establish a nice colong of at least 40 that we will thin out at audalt size !
