no the cow does not have a chance but it is also produced for that & is killed very quickly & humanely. If you think that the instant killing a cow at the works is the same as throwing an animal into a bath with another species to watch it kill it naturally is the same then this thread will never end.
killing a cow at the works is instant, bang & its dead & this is why it is contained to make it fast. natural capture & kill is not, it could take several minutes from the first attack until death. to me there is a big difference between the two. If a lion was chasing you in the bush you would have a chance of surviving but if you were in a small pen there is no chance.
im not sure how the cat has killed the catfish in this instance but it definately would not have died the moment the cat sank its claws into it, it could have taken quite a long time to die attempting to get away but can't as it's in a bath.
I have slaughtered a few pigs & sheep in the past & will do more in the future, i currently have 5 "mutton roasts" in a paddock now that will become just that toward the end of the year. It is not an enjoyable thing doing it but that's how it is & that's what they are for but i certainly wouldn't send a ferrall dog to kill them for me as that would be cruel to the sheep. My point is that i personally would not put two animals in that situation myself, to me its like organised dog fighting.
