Hey guys i was just wondering if anyone could tell me why my plants keep melting. Its a 4 ft 200 litre tank, I have daltons propagating sand as my substrate, I have 108 Watts of lighting and my blue hygro, ambulia, valis, tiger lotus are all melting. The java fern, crytps and cardimine seem ok tho? I also have green algae growing on my rocks and i bits of black and brwon algae starting to appear as well. Ive been dosing flourish excel, to no effect. Any ideas??? :-?

I have a terracotta tube and some limestone rocks you can have if you wanna come get them

the females are dull silver and hard to find in sotroes cos they dont tend to get them in cos they arent as pretty

yeah algae fix can be pretty harsh, make sure there is enough air coz it depletes it.

i have 4 girls and a lazy boy and they get fat with eggs and then realise hes not building a nest and they go down again, then it happens all over again.

i have had my tank running for a year with no air pump with no problems. Just started using one now coz im dosing algae fix and my GBAs start gasping otherwise

i have aquatic mix under my graverl in one and propagating sand in the other. Does the pet store test for posphates if i take a sample in?

AN UPDATE I have got some more lights so i now have about .5W per litre. I have just got some flourish excel to see if that helps as well. My swords have all taken off, and my grassy stuff (sorry no idea of the name) has started getting a nice red tinge. PROBLEMS My stupid brush algae has come back in force and I seem to have a lot of "floaties". Dont know what is causing the floaties thought it was cos the filter was dirty so i cleaned that but it hasnt made a difference. Also a few of the leaves on the swords are getting brown patches. So what do i try now?

yeah i have 6 rams in my tank. A pair just laid again tonigh. I also have kribs guarding eggs in the same tank. :lol: Must be something in the water

All the eggs dissapeared Think one of my agnels may have eaten them. But now i have two pairs of rams chasing around so shouldnt be long until i get some more

i found one in the filter once about 3 days after i got him. lol he wwas fine though, they havent done it again
