The reason I asked is because alot of people don't like alot of flow through their refugium. Were you planing to use a pump to feed the skimmer? IMO it would be more beneficial to pumb your overflow directly into the skimmer. A T can be installed before the skimmer to divert some of the water if you are getting too much flow. KP

Looks interesting. In regard to your return spary nozzles, you may find that you will get almost all of the flow out the nozzle closest to the return if your nozzle size isn't small enough. Do you plan on getting equal flow down each overflow? What skimmer are you using? What return pump? KP

Just a warning, the dottyback is a pretty darn aggressive fish. It may pick on new tank mates. IMO it is the type of fish that should probably be put in last.

Twelve million pieces of living coral and 20 million tropical fish still seems like alot of life being taken from the sea.

Yeah, DSB, IMO you either go BB or DSB. There is no in between (unless you replace or clean the sand regularly). Probably still need a bit more sand, we'll see.

During a study break :lol: , I cleaned the back wall and added some more sand. Have been dosing vodka for the past week or so, I'm really happy with the results. Can see alot more dormant tips starting to grow. Some of the algae has turned grey and falling off. Can't wait to see it in a months time I'm used a Fuji S5500 for this, but can't seem to get the right color. Everything is either white or dark and dull. Is it just the camera or a setting ect? Kyle

They are all looking really good, have started encrusting over the aquaknead it. Have seen more growth in the past week than the whole time I have had them. Should have an update in a month or so

I just made those numbers up just for an example. Mine are close to yours Getting more growth since dosing vodka, must have had a bit of phosphates.

What is the order that the parameters should be corrected in? Say if you had: KH 7 Ca 360 Mg 1100
