Cangratulations to all those new to Saltwater tanks There are 2 things I will always remember 1. Don't overfeed 2. Take your time when adding fish and corals and make yourself a rule. ie: one month Even though I have a quaranteen tank I still go by the one month rule. The reason I thought it may be a mushrom is the 2 colours running through it and the colours are uniform and make a nice design

It is supposed to be an anemone, but it looks more like it belongs to the mushroom family. Any help much appreciated as I would love to have one in my tank

Hey Krama The Blonde Nasos we get here in NZ are greyish in colour with a little bit of yellow so you wont get much colours from getting a naso in your tank. To get the colour in my tank I went Yellow tang (always available in your LFS) http://www.marinecenter.com/fish/tangs/yellowtang/ Sailfin tang (sometimes available) http://www.marinecenter.com/fish/tangs/sailfintang/ Also have my Naso tang, I got it cause they have such a fantastic nature and adds a different body style to the tank. If I had a choice between Wild caught fish and tank bred....tank bred would win. Same thing with corals...I would rather get a frag Main reason I want to try and breed my Maroon clowns

It will keep stopping as play is faster than download of the movie. Save it and watch it after completed. Wonderful clips............love the one of the frogfish eating the smaller fish. Here are some updated photos on my New baby :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: He has been hiding a bit but was out tonight when i fed the tank and had a few bits of brine shrimp, must be relaxing aswell he stretched his tail out for me to take photos

I did raise it rather quickly by 4 points and both my shrimps didnt mind, I have also gone from very high 1.030 to 1.026. Both these changes have happened with a 50% water change and nothing seemed to mind

I have had my Salinity as low as 1.020 and never bothered my cleaners, sounds like someone may have decided they wanted shrimp for dinner :evil:

Shouldn't be too much longer.............. :lol: I thought about the cowfish......they have a couple of cuties at WW but when I did some research about what happens when they get stressed (it can exude a toxin that may wipeout your entire tank) I have decided I won't take the risk. So This tank will be Triggers..........puffers........wrasses...........a big tang or 2 ..................... will do some full research on my list as I want a wide variety that will coexist but mantain but also fish that will do their own mantenance on the tank. So my list of hopefuls are: Triggers moon wrasses puffers (one confirmed) tangs (big ones) Ribbon Eel Frogfish Grouper comet Filefish (one confirmed) Racoon Butterfly bird wrasse Harlequin Tusk
