    malawi vid

Not sure if anyone has seen this or it has been covered but I thought it is worth sharing. Very interesting vid.. Enjoy
  2. hahah classic... made my day. Would be one of those wonderful stories to tell.. and what a character. He probably loves his new tank. try moving the heater around to another spot and see if he still is hating that thing.. One of my cichlids is trying to cover the inlet hole of my filter, cant make sure which one exactly cuz when he does it im never around.. but im guessing its my livingstonii.. he spits sand into it and covers the bottom..
  3. sigh.. wheres the joy in watching them grow..
  4. heheh, they are in my 3ft now.. growing up
  5. hahah funnier I posted on the wrong thread.. LOL happens when you talking to the same person (aye afrikan!) on a few threads.. I was meaning the blood reds you selling haha silly me x 2
  6. hahah funny but back on track tho, how much for them?
  7. hmM now where would I put my 16 fryeri's in... 16 caves.. hahah
  8. Dont quote me on this but I may have a theory. Maybe the cf1000 and cf1200 share the same powerhead or motor/pump in it.. but in the cf1000, the pipings etc are smaller than the cf1200 altho the latter has more volume. But with the cf1000's smaller diameter piping and same pumps = higher pressure/flow rate than the cf1200's I have a cf1200 and I can say they are not that poerful in terms of flow compared to the cf1000's
  9. Frontoisi's  I find this funny
  10. frontosa sized duboisi's that are black with blue stripes and long fins? jokes
  11. i have 4 females and 1 male.. in a 6ft.. and other species too.. if you want to keep them, 2ft is alright as i keep some of my stock in them sometimes for a while.. But if you are keen on selling them etc I wont mind taking a few more.. The only reason i think he is aggressive is maybe he is in the "mood" But i have a lot of other malawians that probably settle his aggression down a bit hehe..
  12. I hope I wont get trapped fish, did the "go river, get rocks, put in tank" method
  13. I found this vid on an automatic feeder for a pond. I find it really amusing enjoy

YEs very simliar to your decription, but dont know if it was off a fight.. cuz everyone seems "peaceful" except for grumpy livingstonii that only stays at one end of the tank tho.. ANyways.. eye problem..

One of my cichlids has an eye problem. The left eye seems to be "peeling of skin" Not sure how else to describe it. Cant take a photo of it either cuz its happily swimming around.. It seems healthy.. eats regularly.. as usual. Just the eye thats bothering me.. anyone had this issue before? Will try and put him in a hospital tank.. as soon as i get my other project finished..
  21. I had that problem in one of my smaller tanks.. Theykept hiding when the light is on.. but after about a week and regular amount of lighting they get.. they seem to get used to it.. maybe they are just getting used to the tank and environment?
  22. hahaha.. when I was reading this I kinnda thought to myself of a "pricespy.co.nz" version for fishes
