As the title states, all north shore people that use this site write a post here telling me about the tank(s), fish you have, and where abouts you r located. For me i live in albany, i have 6 tanks. Tropical fish i have are; 28 Guppies, 4 Platys, 11 B/N Catfish, 9 Corys, 2 Flying Foxes, 2 Swordtails, 2 Horse Faced Loaches, 3 Longfinned Danios, 5 Zebra Danios, 2 Mollys, 2 Male Bettas, 2 Golden Gouramis, 7 Kuhli Loaches, 3 Angelfish, 2 Cockatoo Ciclids, 6 Serpae Tetras and 6 Silvertip Tetras.i think thats it. Coldwater Fish i have are; 13 Fantail Fry, 13 Oranda Fry, 2 Comets

na i didnt check the water, a did about 4 days ago it was fine and tested this morning and still fine.

If anyone out there who has the fish mentioned above that are of resonable age please PM me some details. Cheers

Hey Todd iv only been on this site for a short while and already its given me lots of help that i didnt have before. im sur it'll continue to be so to. also the people on the site are great and friendly. What sort of fish were you thinking of adding to the tank

Tank has been running for a couple of weeks, the other male fighter in the same tank (are seperated by a divider) seems to be fine, yes he was in the 20l but have since moved him into my 70l.

It cost me $100 with gravel but it was an old used demo tank from the lfs. The kuhli's are quite small and they are always to hard to measure. The B/N Catfish are about 5cm(max includ tails)

I came home today and found that my Red Male Betta is really pale and no where as bright as he usually is. Also all his fins are clamped and he is hanging round the top of the tank.i have dosed the tank with melafix and dine a 50% water change but is there anything esle i can do.

I just went out today and brought a Jebo338, an upgrade for my male guppies from a Jebo331. Ive used bout half the same water, the same gravel, the same gravel media so that should be fine. But what i was wandering was how many litres does the JEBO 338 hold. also how many guppies would this tank be able to hold with 4 B/N catfish and 5 Kuhli Loaches.

I too am very interested in bettas. currently i have 3 male bettas and sadly no females , im hoping i can get a couple soon so i can start trying to breed them after reading so much about them and not being able to put that into practice yet. my 1st male is just a normal everyday betta but is a bright red. 2nd one is a blue/purple with red streaks. 3rd one is a blue/greeny.

Added four new fish today. two more albino corys and two B/N catfish. Tank is looking great (touchwood), scenery is still now what i want but will get their, what are some names of plants that act as a carpet?

An update on my tanks. My 120l tank now has 20 fish including,3 Med Angels, Serpaes, Silver Tips, Albino Corys, Cockatoo Ciclids. My 70l Community tank has 2 large Flying Foxes, 1 black molly, 4 guppie(2 male,2 female) and 3 Longfinned Danios and a male fighter My male guppy tank has 10 male guppies, a few fry, 5 Kuhli Loaches, 2 Bristle Nose Catfish. My female guppy tank has 20ish(too fast to count) females with one very lucky male, 3 Female Platys, 2 Peppered Corys, 1 B/N Catfish, and a few platy? fry. I have 20-25 Goldfish Fry and two comets about 6cm (anyone want them) and 10 snails My Betta Spawing tank has two Male Fighters(Seperated of course) ut im on the look out for any females(if anyone has any)

Iv bewn keeping a good eye on water parameters in the tank and everything so far is going good(touch wood). I now in the tank have 3 Medium Angelfish 3 Albino Catfish 6 Serpae Tetras 6 SilverTip Tetras 2 Cockatoo Ciclids I am gona be getting another 2 Albino Corys and 2 B/N Catfish aswell I also brought a borneo sword which looks great now. cant wait for the fish to get settled in and for the tank to grow a bit.

I just brought 3 Medium sized Angelfish today from Pupuke Aquariums in Auckland. What is the best conditions in keeping them?

Iv got about 20 goldfish fry, some might be calico fantails, some might be orandas but how much would be able to get them for if they are around 2cm long.

Im still after any mal guppies who wish to give away or if anyone no's where i can get any siamese fighters from, please PM me details and cost aswell.

I brought myself another male today, brings the total up to 3 but im would love to be able to get my hands on any female fighters.

I's wandering with betta availability in auckland, is there any female fighters up for grabs?

Are there any good sites in NZ and around the world that are devoted to this fish? if so could you give me the link for it.

So yeh if anyone has any female fighters that they no longer want i am very keen to get some i will evenually want 3-5 but anymore would be fine.

Im wandering what sort of vegetables B/N's like to eat and what is the best way to prepare them?

If anyone in auckland that has any female fighters i would be keen to have them. iv got two beautiful ale now just wanting any females now ready to be bred. also can you please post some pics of your male fighters especially if anyone has any green males and not wanting them i would be more than happy, just PM me details

currently my angel tank has 2 cockatoo ciclid and 3 albino corys. i am now in the process of setting up yet another tank for beta breeding. This website has been so helpful.
