I went out today and brought a new fish tank, its a 20l with corner filter and i's gona put a male beta and hopefully end up trying to breed, last year i tried but i didnt manage to get the male to be interested in the females. wat is the best way to breed betas.im getting a male tomoro but if anyone has any females up for grabs please pm me.

Today i brought for my tank, 2 male cockatoo ciclids and 3 albino corys, all water parameters look to be fine at this stage, if anyone out there in thats been doig plant pruning or have spare plants that like to attach to driftwood and/or any carpet plants.

Can anyone tell me about Almond leaves and what uses and how i can use in my aquariums.

I got my filter today, a fluval 3 plus that pumps upto 700l/h, put 10 bunches of val behind the large driftwood, so tank now is near complete, i like the java fern idea of having it tied to the driftwood, all i want now is a nice dense but small corys can fit through and not get stuck, bottom carpet plant that grows very easily and with a low light.how many albino corys would be necesary?, i was thinking 3-5.

Can you please post some picks of your Angelfish cause im just setting up a tank that will hold 4 Angels and wanting to know what angels are out their, also what you keep your angels with. Cheers

Also would i be able to have a male siamese in the tank with the angels, 2 b/n catfish, non fin-nipper tetras(non dull though,any idea) and 3-4 bottom dwellers. i will be keeping the tank at 26-28degrees.

hello all In my 120l hexagonal tank i was thinking of having 4 angelfish ,12 black widow tetras or similar tetra/schooling fish, a couple of b/n catfish and then another couple of other different catfish/loach. there is no fish in the tank in thier at the moment, its got a 300w heater and i nice big bit of driftwood that goes reaches right up to the top of the tank. is there any plants that will grow off the driftwood, i wana have valisanria for the background? will those fish be alright together and wat other different catfish/loach could i put in thier? thank

Iv read somewhere that guppies refer to have salt into their tank.

Since the first post i have had the rest of the 3 pearl gourmais die plus seven of my harlequins have gotten stuck to the internal filter fitted ibto my tank.is there any special way that these two types of fish like being kept under, my 2 lrg flying foxes and 3 longfinned danios, 1 molly, 2 male guppies seem to be fine, iv still got 3 harlequins left. any help will be greatly appreciated

Is It ok if i put salt in with bristle nosed catfish and kuhli loaches as the tank they are in have guppies and i wana have the guppies in salt and just wandering if these fish like salt, also do cory's like salt too?

How much gravel in terms of kg's will i need to cover a fish tank base of 50x45cm being approx 5cm deep.

How many angels could i have, what other fish would go with them.

Just in the process of setting up a 120l hexaganal tank. Any help on what fish would be suitable withe a tall narrow tank. Can be community or species themed.

Yeh i no 20l is two small for them but its only temporary and they are of a smallish/medium size. they are in there as i am waiting on getting another bigger tank for them cause my baby oranda and fantail fry will go in that tank for now. thanks for the ideas. SEAN

The tank the goldfish are in is 20l and the current temp as at 7.00pm tonight was just 11 degrees. Thanks for the feedback

I have two goldfish in my garage in a tank of course, i's wandering what would a normal fantail wants as its optimum temperature and what would be to cold for them. They dont seem very energetic and hang round the bottom of the tank resting against the gravel!

I did a water change last sunday? yeh they all seem to be fine, i havent done nitrite though. Thanks For your feedback..

Iv just gotten home from school and in my 70l community tank iv found one of my male guppies dead and one of my pearl gourami's is about 95% dead, what could be wrong, none of them were being harrased, i notced that my ppearl was hanging behind the filter and there is anpother one hiding behind aswell, (do gourmis like slow or fast moving water), there is plenty of opxygen, any helkp would be great SEAN

Hello All As you no doubt can tell i am new to this site but i have already learnt alot from it already and iv only been into a few topics. I have 70l(ish) tank with:2 Golden Gouramis, 2 Flying Foxes, 2 Longfinned Danios, 5 Zebra Danios, 2 Mollies, 2 Platys, 2 Swords. Im lookin to add another couple of fish but dont quite no what yet. Also i have 2 30l tanks: One of them with 3 male guppies with 20-30 fry & 4 Kuhli Loaches. In the other 30l tank i have 20 Female guppies Also i have a 20l tank with 2 goldfish I have another 30 goldfish fry(15 Oranda, 15Calico Fantail) on the way if someone wants a couple of them? Also if anyone has free or near free 30-60l tanks(in working condition) that they no longer want then please get in contact. Cheers and i look forward to your future posts Sean
