Shrimp?

Featured Replies

There's glass shrimp which are usually just something someone caught from a local stream. That's it, no other shrimps.

Hi Visionspring,

Would be great if you could add your location to your profile to avoid a lot of questions.

We also have a Welcome section if you care to tell us a bit about yourself :)

Thanks,

Bill.

yep there are shrimp that you can catch in streams... went shrimping last weekend and got heaps

but once again..WHERE ARE YOU?

How do you go about catching them? I'd love to get a few as well! Is it easy? :bounce:

Go out when it's dark with a torch and a big fish net. Catch stuff when you see eye-glow. Some will be eels, some will be fish and some will be shrimp. You'll soon figure out what is what and where the good spots are in your area.

I have found that day time is also quite effective for catching shrimp, however, im not sure about night time, is there more at night BlueandKim? there's tonnes of these little guys around sitting on the rocks. :D

I got mine during the day in a freshwater stream.

Don't need a torch to see them either.. just a good wide net so you can catch em... fast little buggers.
