My monitor is 17", and my setting is 1024x768 32 bit.. and I am far from lazy, but I think anyone posting pics should keep them within a reasonable size, not only for the convenience of all viewers, but to prevent slowing the site down... and before you comment, I am running a Pen3 700mhz with 300meg mem and a 64gforce graphics card.

(The old Pen died)

I see little point in posting a pic that you can only see half of at any given time :) ... and it's even worse having to scroll across to read the text... even on a 17".

The avatar size is restricted to size due to strain on the site, so the same should apply to pics.

(No offence meant)

The size of the pic would have no effect on the website's servers, Unlike the avatars which are stored on the site's servers, the only thing the site deals with is the address. In this instance all the load for that picture is coming from Paradise's server because I put it on MY webspace for Sheila. That picture is only 60K which would take something like 10 seconds to download on dialup. And I'm not going to spend an extra minute or two resizing it so you can save a second because you don't have to move your mouse down and drag the slider over to see the right 1/5 of the picture.
