Tank insurance....

Think you are able to buy some sort of alarm thats tells you when the temp is too hot or too cold, I'm not 100% sure about this, but do think I have read it somewhere.

Maybe wait for some more posts to see what other people say, I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

dont want to be a wet blanket but two of us bought those monitors and found them to be wildly inaccurate.

I had mine in a marine tank and it was set at 30c. It would start going off at 10pm at night yet never went off in the heat of the day.

I checked with two other thermometers and found it to be at least 3c out.

This was also happening to my mate who purchased one at the same time.

I would not say they were a total waste of time as they do at least make you aware of temperature and the need at times to check it by some other means.

suphew, I think she's talking about the Marina Aqua Minders....

For the record, I have two and they work spot-on. Even dropped one in the tank the other day during a shift and it came right after a quick disassembly to let the moisture evaporate.
