I caught my cleaner shrimp...

my cleanershrimp release a cloud of littlies every month or so.

fish and coral's get a good feed, but some do make it to the sump.

at first i thought the sump was running low and the tank was fill of itty bubbles, but when the fish started darting around chasing them i soon figured out why. there must be hundreds of them.

next time i am gonna net some.

anyone have an idea on what they might need to survive.

Craig - Heaps of info on reefcentral for bringing up shrimp. They have a planktonic stage that lasts over 3 months before you can wean them onto rotifers though, so probably such a hastle it would hardly be worth the energy. Not saleable for approx 18 months.

And iirc they're so delicate when in their planktonic stage that they can be killed by bumping into the walls of the tank? Be good if you did get a good way of breeding them though. Maybe you could grow them the same way you do rotifers?
