Golden, blonde, gray… HELP!

"blonde" the proper term is Golden, it refers to the colour of the body.

So you've got your Gold's and your Greys.

Beyond that, guppys are then classed by there tails or colouration for example : Snakeskin and Deltas

As far as pictures and labels go, you have asked a big feat of us. However this is something i was working on when i was putting together a database of Guppy species in New Zealand when i was the Poecilias Breeding and species Co-Ordination. Then it changed its name to the NZLA, and since then it seems to have died, so your abit outta luck.

From what I have read and pictures I have seen, blonde is a male that is mainly orange/red in colour all over its body (fins included), golden is just a base body colour along with greys and then your half colours like half black and half blue. Of course you still have your true albinos, snakeskins and cobras.

I have also heard that some places in the world refer to the yellow body guppys as blonde also but many prefer to use golden.

It is very confusing I know and I think somewhere in the livebearers section I have found an identifications site and the link is posted there. I hope that helps :D

Cheers
