Bluetom
Just wondering if serpae tetras are ok with angels have read that they can be a bit aggressive and fin nippers at times. Any thoughts or experiences?

LYNDYLOO
I've got about 10 Serpaes, in with my 4 Angels, and I don't have any problems at all, they should be fine, maybe just keep them in a good size group. Good Luck.

mickey-tropical-fish-mad
i would have thought that they'll be fine just dont what ever you do put neons in with angel fish! they will eat them.
LYNDYLOO
I have had Neons in with my Angelfish before without any problems at all, the only problem I find with Neons is they are not very hardy, think Cardinals are better, even tho they are abit more expensive, and they do look great in a big group. mickey-tropical-fish-mad
i have an angel fish and i used to keep him with rummy nose tetras, they were fine! I would think that the serpae tetras will be ok too! The only tetra eaten by an angel fish is a neon tetra! Trust me ive had personal experiance with them. But my angel is quite piecful the only fish he chases acachionally are my two mollys. I used to keep them with long tailed guppys. angel never went for them. Caryl
You have been lucky with your angel then Mickey. Many others have not had the same luck! Some angels, especially lone ones, can get quite territorial as they age.
alanmin4304
They will be fine until the angels get big, pair off and want to defend their territory.
