cracker
3 x lumenarcs will do just nicely. Heres a pic of the intensity of just one.... Its my old shitty camera too! all the alluminium rails will be removed also. Will look real tidy. It was my downfall really......Still grew good though!! cracker
you win lotto or something? what lighting config will you have once you're done? keeping some of your other halides too? they were quite good (big and chunky, but good!) Sold the bus, plus the money from the other lights will help.

TM
were you using 400w se before, or have you just started using them with the new reflectors? Nice tidy job to.
chimera
awesome reflectors, copy or not, still serves there purpose. in regards to colour, what have you noticed the most? does the new light bring out the colour more in the blue range? what about the greens? is your red monti cap redder or worse? (mind you i recall that being on the left side)

(mind you i recall that being on the left side) Its a difficult one. By 20k units create a rich colour spectrum, but a darker in appearance. They make greens glow, but reduce pinks to whiter shades. The lumenarcs are in between, so perfect in my opinion, the greens still glow which is important IMO. The red monti im not sure about yet. but I think will improve. chimera
yeah these reflectors (or rather there shape) are arguably one of the best, especially when looking at the results from the tests performed by sanjay from the link steve and i posted on the lux thread http://www.fnzas.org.nz/fishroom/lux-meter-vt14658.html make sure you get before and after shots - will be interesting to see coral colouration in a months time
