Modern Angl
I've noticed that my 3 Bristlenose have had the light parts of their tail fins nipped off by something. The likely candidates are... 5 Clown Loaches 3 Hoplo's 1 Snowflake Bristlenose the 3 Bristlenose themselves? Also in the tank with 4 bronze cats, 20 Neons and a big common plec. Cheers
Ira
None of those are particularly likely. Maybe the neons or hoplos? Just a wild guess.
Lucid
Hi ma, Sounds like the b/n's are fighting amonsgt themselves as the other fish don't seem to be likely culprits. What is the m/f ratio? B
Modern Angl
Don't know the m/f ratio, they aren't identifiable yet. I'll keep an eye on them and see how they get on.
Jo1
I would be suspicious of the pleco. We have never been able to get bristlenoses to live with them successfully. The bristles just seem to disappear!
Maxy
I read that B/N can be territorial so maybe they were scrapping amongst themselves? Have no problem with my 3 but the older bigger one stays well clear of the two smaller ones usually. Theere was a slight confrontation on a shipwreck one day between bigboy and a youngster but it was a quick tailswish and off to the other end of the tank
scoobyjene
when we had a huge Plecy in with a large Oscar, the Oscar would attack the plecy who would then chase him.. his fins always grew back..
