Insect Direct
Nice one. I use to use newspaper in packaging and the black on my hands was unreal from not much contact. Probably non-toxic in this day and age but does make you wonder ...

alanmin4304
You can buy the end of rolls of newspaper before it is printed (as used on fish and chips). I don't think the ink is toxic, it was when printing was done with lead type.

Insect Direct
naughty torty. Good stuff on changing the paper. Better to be safe than have them reading the newspaper and getting confused lol Id just use paper towels - extra absorbant - or fake turf. cut two bits and hose one off weekly and change over. Never kept tortoises here though.

And yes they are tortoises .. land only

repto
i`d watch for too much humidity in there? also if they tip over on paper they will never right themselves and if they are too close to the heat bulb??they don`t last long??(been there ,done that!)
