Ira
What is the 508 resource limit page that keeps popping up? The answer would be, "The error which popped up when I clicked on this thread." :slfg:
camtang
Haha, good timing. At least its not just me.
Adrienne
no its not just you, I have been getting it on and off for weeks now. Longest time it took to go away was about 10 mins.
aotealotl
that's because our friendly spies @ GCSB are reading and filtering all our posts :cry1:
Phantom
The hosting we have has limits on how many "resources" we can use. Since the development sites are also hosted here and there are people working on issues on them, those development sites can often take all the resources. The problem should only exist for a second at most really, and you will only see the message if you're unlucky. It shouldn't hang around for 10 minutes, that would have just been very unlucky with the refreshes or something major going on in the background. Adrienne
Thanks Phantom - I figured it was to do with the new site works and I am prepared to be patient cos this is going to be amazing!
livebearer_breeder
Yup get it all the time. usually a refresh fixes it, not always though.

Adrienne
Its to do with the new website so once that goes live the problem will cease.
Sophia
Is this resource limit the same reason why clicking 'View your posts' doesn't bring up my posts in the speedy fashion that it used to? View new posts and unread posts happens at the same speed but it seems to have trouble finding my posts quickly. It's been like this for about 2 or 3 weeks. Adrienne
It is to do with the new website development, yes.
Phantom
Unlikely that the web development is making just 1 thing slow like that Sophia. I'll look into that as a separate issue.
Sophia
Something has been done in the last day or 2 that has fixed the slow loading of View your posts.... I don't think my PC did any updates so I'll give you the credit instead.
Phantom
I have been moving things around to help with this issue. Unfortunately, the development sites need to stay there for now as they use things from the main site. These are only being used for reference now so the impact should be less. The latest development work is being done on a different server. Fingers crossed it isn't much of a problem until we're done.
