Flosty
Yes I remember this store He had a ten foot tank in the middle with some of the biggest discus I have seen He also bred discus out the back so you could see the parents of the discus you were buying,so you knew what you were getting This has got to be 10+ years ago that I saw this

reef
Yea, pity they closed. It's a tough industry too many fish stores/trade me sales around these days.

chopper
Ah thems were the days! The same people used to own "The gold fish bowl" pet store in south city. That was many years ago now. They also bought the Stanmore road pet store called the "fish tank"? Went into critter kingdom once to buy a hoplo catfish but the ones they had were too small for what i wanted and I didnt have much money, they took me out the back where all the tanks were and caught a full sized one and sold it to me for $6. Sold me jags and midas cichlids for a couple of bucks as well. All their stores were choice and they were always willing to give out helpful advice. Caryl
Sid is in Australia, living with his daughter. Colin Clark is alive and well same place, same bat channel, interesting tanks. Ivan Mockford - unsure but think he is the same as Colin. Gordon McKay and Sean are still in ChCh I believe. Gordon sold the shop and Sean is still breeding fish from what I have heard. I haven't seen him since the quakes though Bill is deceased David Cooper is still involved in fish keeping
