Rabbit
Iv used it before on snakes but not geckos? It will be much more cost effective in my case where it will be catering to 6 enclosures. 18 meters (14 usable) will only cost $50 as Apposed to numerous heat lamp fittings and lamps, and can be threaded between all the enclosures? Everything i read suggest heat from below where receptors are concentrated is best for Leopards?.

cleadus1
nice set-up! do you use a thermostat? where do you put it?.
Rabbit
Nope no thermostat on these, the cable reaches 34dgc and mounted above that is a large tile to evenly disperse the heat, in effect i covers approximately 1/3 of the tank. The ambient temp gets to about 27dgc, the cable are on timers so that at midday there off for a few hours. The footprint of the individual enclosures is 800x400 leaving plenty of space to move away from the heat.
