Godly3vil
Hey does anyone know where I can purchase some 46" T5 bulbs from, my LFS doesn't have any and can't order any in for me. Prefer them to be around 6-6.7k as they will be used on a FW planted tank. Cheers.

Adrienne
what brand is your light fitting?
Godly3vil
They are GLO brand, they finally arrived today after weeks of waiting for the seller to actually ship them. They came with Glo PowerGlo T5 High Output 54w Tube 115cm 46inch but I don't think these will be much good for growing plants.
The_Laura
"ARCADIA T5 PLANT PRO TUBE 54W 46INCH" Should be able to order through your lfs? most of them stock arcadia? where are you?

The_Laura
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=60628 These might even fit
Godly3vil
Yeah they would fit but I am after brand new ones and they are not suitable for freshwater planted tanks. Also kind of thinking of just using these; http://www.fetchalamp.co.nz/light-bulbs ... 865ho.html Anyone know if they would work well with growing plants? 6500k should be alright shouldn't it? Joe
If you bought a GLO unit, which take 48" bulbs, why do you want 46" bulbs? Also PowerGlos are excellent for growing plants and are much better than 6,700K tubes. Have a look at Phoenix44's tank thread. He uses them and has amazing plant growth. Godly3vil
Because any 48" fitting takes 46" bulbs..... http://www.hollywoodfishfarm.co.nz/deta ... -46/m/931/
Godly3vil
T5's anyway. Think 48" T8's still use 48" tubes.

Godly3vil
Yeah, I would never use the 840's for planted tanks. I will try the power-glo's out for a month and see how it affects growth. I also can get a bulk deal on those bulbs so will definitely buy some and see how they go aswell.
