beets
i have recently built my first big tank and have plumbed 2 canister filters through the bottom of the tank. my filters are rated 1000 and 1200 l/hr with max head height of 1.4 m. my question is since the pressure in the bottom of the tank is aprox 6psi feeding into the filters will this increase the flow through the filters as the height to pump up is effectively 0? if it does increase flow is there any way i can find out how much? Filters are measured at no head and no media
alanmin4304
You could measure the time it takes to fill a bucket.
beets
In short no. Filters are measured at no head and no media so i will be filtering 2200l/h and if i ran them normally it would be considerably less?
blueether
I would say so. I measured my cf1200 at 0m head, all the pipe work on and full media. The result was only about 800 - 850l/h
