There are also several nurseries in NZ and on last check 2-3 websites dedicated to such plants. New Zealand even has its own native carnivorous plants. Rotokawa Peat swamp on the southern slope of Ruapehu The images were taken late summer when the plants were past their best. The black things on the last image are seed pods. Bilbo Posted July 5, 2012 Report Share Posted July 5, 2012 I have a friend who has 3 huge green houses full of them. I think he even has developed a stunning pitcher plant and gets royalties for it. If you really want to grow Venus Fry Traps from seed you will be waiting a few years before it comes to anything. Better to split an existing plant.
