supasi
Actually on reading the description it says the water is not drinkable so I am guessing that the plastic is not food safe.
Sheepsnana
I think it's more in case the water is in there for quite a while before it is used - could get bugs etc, which would become unsafe for human consumption. I wouldn't risk it, go get a nice big tank from your Local ITM

Ira
Actually on reading the description it says the water is not drinkable so I am guessing that the plastic is not food safe. That's just because the "rainwater is rich in nutrients".

alanmin4304
The sparrow population down this way has been thinning itself off with salmonella. The feral pidgeon population carries psitticosis and campilobacter is frequently carried by birds. A good thing elephants can't fly. Nothing wrong with rainwater as a water supply---grandad only had that to drink and he lived to the ripe old age of 26.

Sophia
rainwater is yummy to drink, almost sweet. I'd switch back to that over city water any day, though I don't miss running out in summer. I lived on tank water for 8 years and though I can't see straight and my face is covered in blotches, there is nothing wrong with me
