Joe
I got this little stem of Cabomba furcata at Petworld and gave it to Jennifer to grow in her tank as she uses CO2 and good lighting. :bounce:
alanmin4304
The Cabomba furcata I recall from many years ago had red stems and Cabomba carolineana will go red on the tips in good light. Will be interesting to see how it goes for Jennifer. What I had then was being grown under natural light.
Joe
It was in a tank with low light and it wasn't rooted in the substrate, just floating around. Also the tank was chocca with Hydrophila difformis which was cutting out a lot of the light, which probably explains why it isn't as colourful as it should be. However it was noticibly red/pink compared to normal Cabomba which is why it caught my eye. With all the ferts that Jennifer doses and the good lighting and CO2 injection it should come right
karina
I have Cabomba Carolineana in my tank and it grows rapidly and I do get the pink tips. That Cabomba certainly looks cool! Is it a commonly found?
Joe
No it is very rare. I still can't believe I actually found some :nilly:
alanmin4304
It is a lot harder to grow than C. carolineana.
