Aaron-Betta
brought a small plant a while back and forgot all about it, now it seems that neglecting my tanks has made it really take off and now its taking over. I was wondering if someone could ID it for me so i know what I'm dealing with. Thanks (the red one if you couldn't guess lol)
supasi
http://www.fnzas.org.nz/?p=923 E. horemani would be my guess but in saying that I am no expert on Echinodorus species. Alanmin should see this in the morning and my guess is he will know. HTH
alanmin4304
Could be horemani, red special or ozelot. Depends a lot on growing conditions and ferts. Probably horemani going by the veination---one advantage is that it is one of the few swords that does not like growing emersed so you don't need to convert them. alanmin4304
It is too. I was getting confused over who owned that veination.
Aaron-Betta
cool, thank you guys for the ID  Do you recommend I move it to a bigger tank now before it gets much bigger? I dont dose with special ferts, just use a bit of leafzone every second week. And not under grunty lights, just the normal AR380 hood light
phoenix44
It'll get bigger than your tank one day :slfg:
Aaron-Betta
good excuse to buy a bigger tank  pity I have 15 small tanks, getting permission to buy a bigger one may be hard work :digH:
sup42
Ive got one going at the back of the tank. It's partially shaded by Some tall Stem Plants and the Little bugger is still growing quite quickly. The idea was to try to slow / retard it's growth a bit.
