Li@m
Here is the local club--->http://www.fnzas.org.nz/?p=454 Contact one of the people that are listed. or come to the next meeting witch is on the 14th of this month. Sounds cool.. Are you going to have it planted or are you going to have just a hard scape with a few plants?
Li@m
There are also people on this tread who setup and maintain tanks. http://www.fnzas.org.nz/fishroom/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=42159

ally07
this was build for me by a proffessional 4 years ago but never got set up. You might want to do a water test first lol. If the tank has been sitting empty for 4 years, the silicon might not be as strong as if it'd been filled - or so I've heard. Maybe someone else can clarify this? Caryl
I used my tank as a wardrobe for a number of years ( more than 4) then set it up. It has now been running over 10 years with no problems so far (fingers crossed). I am sure it is due to have the silicone replaced as i have been told 10 years is about when it starts to loosen. Did your fingernail into the silicone. if it feels soft and squishy then it should be fine. Depends how and where it was stored.
henward
many here would help you you just have to decide what you want. I would help you personally, i like setting up new tanks:d 2.2, what a pleasure that would be!!! i guess the thing is, you have to do some groundwork, find out what you want out of the tank, and then go abouts working on that. discus tank - simple enough, is it gonna be planted? if so then some planted specialists here can help im sure but if its not planted, i can certainly helop you:D just let me know
