When their scales expand, the iguanas can reach sizes up to 12m in length. It is for this reason tuataras have lost their oppertunity to go to mars. The Big Moa or a little one might be making a come back. Japan must be quite advanced in that. With their Genetic modification and manipulation with the DNA's. Moa into A Emu. They also identified a same MOA species in South America which evolved to look quite different. That should be an even better subject to GM with the NZ Moa may be. Would have to set up of shore for that lot of works to. Plenty of Moa bones & DNA to work with. Scientists have located the genes that turn off teeth and scale production in chickens and have managed to "turn the teeth growth gene back on" in embryos. They are finding or have found the gene process that stops birds tails from growing long and are searching for the genes that that changed there arms to wings. Once they have found these genes and turned non scale production, tooth production, tail growth and arm growth in a chicken embryo we will have chickens that look like dinosaurs.
