critter_crazy
I haven't tried them but the levels of protein don't look right to me - they're too high for vegetarians such as plecos :smln:
ryanjury
It states the spirulina as an ingredient has 60-70% protein no mention of what the finished pellets have, even if it was that high it would be fine if it is a vegetable based protein as the fish are designed to process it.. Key point in the auction is that it only recommends 0.5-2% spirulina in a fishes diet I have read a few things that suggest that a diet too high in spirulina can be harmful to fish. kiwiplymouth
I purhased a kilo of them about a month ago to trail as part of a varied diet for my fish. The fish accept them readily, all the fish are in good health with many of them breeding. I have no complaints so far.

Joshlikesfish
just wondeirng anyone else with feedback? I asked earlier to no response. Good to see KP is getting something good out of them! I have no complaints so far. Is this just to your ancistrus or have you been feeding them to your panaques as well? I haven't tried them but the levels of protein don't look right to me - they're too high for vegetarians such as plecos :smln: There is more than just vege eating plecs :smln: But if you get really into it you can debate if its a pleco or not
Artem
Would it be fine to feed these or other algae wafers as a staple diet for herbivore plecos?
