Perpin
Besides breeding them myself - where can I get mice pinkies?
Joshlikesfish
Other breeders?
Perpin
Have tried loads of pet shops but would not know where to begin to find mice breeders
Joshlikesfish
I assume its to feed to your lizards? I'm not sure how many people would sell you for that purpose. Breeding them cant be too hard. Why not give that a try?
Perpin
Yes for my lizards. Looks like I might have to. Really did not want to go down that road...they smell
alanmin4304
Breed them outside. In NZ pet shops do not sell pinkies, not like overseas where people are feeding heaps of snakes and other larger reptiles. If they were available you would probably not like the price because there is such a limited market. People are pretty squeemish about feeding pinkies so many people breeding them would not want to admit to it.
Joshlikesfish
I'd breed them if the price was right. Gives me an excuse to keep them

Insect Direct
i bred rats instead (and mice but rats were better for memory), more in the litter, bigger pinkies, less smell. think thats how it worked. in the end decided it was too much work for what it was worth, but i only had a few turtles back then. oh yeah and a couple of the rats didnt like me  im sure they could sense when the babies were killed. Perpin
Lol....rats bite harder than mice. I dont think I could do rats because I adore them and would end up keeping them all!
Insect Direct
lol yeah a couple became fiesty, i found i had do be assertive with them or they would take me on no different from mice really, or using any other animal/insect for live food imo.
