Joshlikesfish
http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/sp ... ies_id=734 Is that a hint P44? Zuccini in the fridge, and theres a lot of wood already Never been ever ever fed bloodworms - tetra bits, shrimp pellets and plec tabs. I'll just keep that up? phoenix44
It's more like a "this is what they should be fed on". Don't feed them shrimp tabs now. They are not hypans. Hikari pleco wafers have wood in them and are good for panaques. I feed fresh courgette as it is less messy.
Joshlikesfish
Alright. No shrimp tabs. spirilina wafers and JBL pleco tabs? Fresh courgette. Got it
kiwiplymouth
Wow, They are some seriously obese catfish. If you don't get them into a more healthy condition you may well have health issues with them in the future. Good luck with the veges, mine wont touch them. If they were mine, I would only be feeding them once or twice a week until they lost a bit of "condition". They will get plenty of nutrients from the driftwood. From looking at your photos and your fanning descriptions, I would say that you have at least one male. Joshlikesfish
Ok maybe no feedings haha. Will wait a few days. At least theres one male
Adrienne
They've come out of a community tank hence the condition I suspect. Tasty leftovers from the others in the tank. I agree - they do need to lose some weight. I didn't realise how plump they were until I caught them.

Joshlikesfish
Hopefully you will see something like this soon. The one in the cave had that colouration. My caves aren't that big though, think I should add some more? Have three bamboo ones currently
Adrienne
I think your caves are that size Josh. They came from the same person .
Joshlikesfish
Oh fair enough haha. I've found new owners for my embers and my rams. Now I need to catch my cory's... Haha
kiwiplymouth
yep your caves will be the same size. Its just your fish are too fat for them The caves in that photo are a little big if anything.
Joshlikesfish
These fish are now on a diet, with a regular exercise routine. If no improvements show I'm sending them on "The Biggest Loser"
Joshlikesfish
All three caves are occupied by a L104. All starting to look the same with two doing the "fanning thing" They're not doing it constantly though. Sometimes go back into the cave then wait a bit, and start again. Third cave, has an L104 just chilling. Most fish from that tank are gone. Plants next. Waiting on my stand to set up my next planted tank. Have the tanks, just nowhere to put them Will get more wood/rocks/caves
Joshlikesfish
I think they are spawning :bounce: Male is in his cave fanning, but he's up elevated. Can find two other clowns in the other two caves, a third on a log. Fourth female is nowhere to be seen

Joshlikesfish
Using the flashlight on my phone, I can kinda make out the cave. I think its a false alarm and he was just holding himself up. Will go borrow a decent flash light and check later
Joshlikesfish
No signs of eggs. Plan to remove the last of the plants this weekend when I set up my new planted tank on my new stand Will also remove all other fish leaving the 5 L104 to have the whole 4ftr to themselves. Once I have the tanks sorted, I will try induce spawnings Currently being fed JBL novo tabs and ?wardly? spirulina wafers. Any other recommend feeds? phoenix44
Concentrate on making them more normal looking. They are fat at the moment. They will breed when they are ready. You won't need to do any thing.
