Zayne
i was just surfing the net and saw this and was wondering how many tanks you could run with it? 280L PER MINUTE!!!!
Morcs
How big are the tanks? In theory you could run 30x 60L tanks with a 10x'ish turnover per hour
Zayne
ok so thats like 30 2 foot tanks?
kiwiplymouth
You could run far more than 30. I have a 40L/min compressor that is a smaller version of the one above. It is currently running 20 tanks and could run more.
livingart
you could run 140 sponge filters at 2l/min
diver21
but thats 2L of air not water, and if your running air filters then your not going to get near the 4x total tank volume of water put through them are you.
Zayne
i have a double outlet air pump that does 2l per outlet and thats good to run a air filter.
ryanjury
That would run over 100 airstones probably more like 200.. I have a 70lph one running 40 odd airstones and it has just run out of puff..

ryanjury
It is still running I just cannot seem to add any more air stones to it as it isn't grungy enough for any more, it can make most of the air stones boil, but obviously alot of the are sponge filters so they are just ticking away. diver21
490 tanks run from the one huge pump. well guestimate using ryans figures from his airpump and airstone numbers
Bilbo
I have one of those for sale. Its way to powerful for my 10 - 20 tank room. I would guess you could run 100+ easily but it could have an open 'bleed' valve to lower it a little. Probably better than using 10 or more small pumps for a large room. diver21
60db is about the same volume as normal talking volume, thats adult volume not excited child volume
smidey
60db is about the same volume as normal talking volume, thats adult volume not excited child volume but constant, cars are supposed to be limited to 80db
Ira
but constant, cars are supposed to be limited to 80db So 100 of them would be about the volume of a car...

Scottie841
Not a particularly noisy one. Bone stock cop cars exceed the db limit. I thought it was only the R8 that was over the limit not the 6 cylinder that the cops use.
