phoenix44 Posted June 6, 2010 Report Share Posted June 6, 2010 they usually hatch on the third day or end of the second day, and will wiggle like mad while still stuck to wherever the eggs are layed. the parents meticulously fan the eggs and the babies, as well as pick off any infertile eggs. Once the egg sacs are consumed, and they are 'free swimming' the babies will take turns on latching on to each parent and feed off them for a few more days. once you can actually see the form of the baby fish you can start feeding them BBS. It usually takes the parents a few go's to get things right, so don't be disheartened if the eggs vanish multiple times. Also, could you please post pictures of the BDs please?
