fishplants
Hi all, here in Canterbury, our tap water is neither chlorinated nor fluoridated, it is just spring water (yes, the same stuff we spend hundreds of thousands of dollars buying in plastic bottles). How do you guys deal with the chlorine in your water when doing frequent water changes, or do you not worry about the chlorine? Any long term effect on fish, beneficial bacteria? Thanks
BikBok
i use a dechlorinator.. don't have the room to age water in buckets and it's not the right temp then anyway. So straight out of the tap and then the required amount of dechlorinator. Once a month I add TLC beneficial bacteria as a boost.
Adrienne
I only use an additive in my discus tank. All my fighter tanks are filled straight from the hose. Funnily enough the discus tank is the only one with issues

ryanjury
Feel free to link to a helpful and related thread then As suggested in that thread it is a very commonly asked question and one of the mods here put across most of the very useful info, maybe it could be stored as a sticky here too?
