MYMARK
Just woundering if these are harder to breed than the normal white clouds. I have at long last seen fry in their pond, but they don't seem to be the golden sunset colour. Any advise on breeding them would be great. Thanks Mark.
Caryl
I thought the sunsets were just a colour morph so genetics will play a part in your fry colour. They fry are so small how can you tell colour? :-? Many fish don't colour up for a while.
Wok
I believe that the sunsets are harder to breed. from experiences of another club member, he noticed that the parents have on occassions like to chomp on the young, so ensure that there is a lot of plants for the fry to hide in. Apart from that, they should breed ok, but not as prolific as the normal WCMM Hope that helps
Luke*
yea i can vouch from experience that these goldens don't spawn as readily! dammit....i love this variety too! will persevere tho :bounce:

AquaMike
I was actually wondering if you could breed a sunset with a normal wcmm? that would be interesting right?
JaSa
Nothing special. Same breed just different variety/strain... Cheers, JaSa
AquaMike
So i got two normal wcmm for my sunset male and man he has been vertualy raping them and nipping there fins and showing off his fins to my neons, how soon should i expect eggs
F15hguy
depends on the condition of the females, if they are ripe then there possibly will already be eggs, just keep up a good feeding regime (lots of good dry and live foods) and you shouldn't have to wait long.
