David R
Good work!! IMO the SPCA should do more to prevent shops from selling things like turtles and arowanas to unsuspecting people with bad advice. Selling 2' tank "turtle set ups" is pretty poor IMO.... Caryl
Good on you Donna. We got to see all her turtles last weekend. I hope Yertle is improving!
Jennifer
Congratulations Donna! It is great to increase awareness about how to properly care for these guys. Donna will also soon be a wee celebrity in veterinary circles as she recently assisted me with an article about the care and nursing of turtles for the NZ Veterinary Nursing Journal (published next month). Hopefully more VNs will help to better educate turtle owners and we will all (especially Donna) have fewer battles to fight! (BTW anyone wanting to help me with the upcoming reptiles & amphibians articles let me know! )
Caryl
The Amazing Donna is also going to be guest speaker at conference this year! Those coming to conference may also get the opportunity to visit her home and turtle sanctuary on the Monday after conference 8)
