How to sustain eggs?

Im just mulling over how to keep eggs from going fungusy, do you have to have an airstone if without the parents, or is there some other methods im unaware of that help with creating water movement etc.

Yep what phoenix said, so long as you dont mind your tank silicone turning permanently blue :lol:

I have never used meth blue that stained silicone. you only need a little bit. the correct dosage turns the water light blue, and you should be able to see the rear wall of the tank clearly.

It really does depend on what type of eggs are you trying to hatch.. Meth blue does stain everything and I have found it does work best when the water is quite blue (hense the staining of everything). Airstones are also good but again it depends what you are trying to hatch, there is also the very real possibility that the eggs are not fertile at all and that is why you cannot get them to hatch.

huh. my breeding tank was stained hard. but that was repeated usage.

I only breed Killis but I never use air and always use Meth Blue in a small lidded container that floats on the tank top

for my cories I dont use meth blue anymore, or even airstone as I usually am short of air.

I have read that meth blue can harden the case of teh egg, dunno how much faith to put in that.
