Aquila
At the beginning of the year I visited Guatemala. We went to Semuc Champey which is a natural land bridge over a raging river. The pools on top were quite deep and were filled with lots of fish. Anyone have any idea what kind they are?
Barrie
middle photo could well be some type of Killi
Aquila
Really? I thought it was some kind of lumphead cichlid...but I don't really know my cichlids that well... I think the fish in the first and second/third photo might be the same species just either a male/female, or a juvenile/adult.
firenzenz
yeah could be any number of fish, here are a couple of genus that do live in that area so could be contenders. I'm talking more about the larger colourful fish. http://www.cichlidforum.com/profiles/re ... hp?genus=7 http://www.cichlidforum.com/profiles/re ... p?genus=42 http://www.cichlidforum.com/profiles/re ... ?genus=203 Check this site has list of tropical fish of Guatemala with pics and descriptions http://fish.mongabay.com/data/Guatemala.htm There are several characiformes listed that could fit the tetra type fish. Probably less like from this group but still a bit of fun in looking http://www.cichlidforum.com/profiles/re ... ?genus=227 http://www.cichlidforum.com/profiles/re ... p?genus=
