bdspider
Hrmmm, I kinda got distracted over the last month & now the specimens I'd been collecting are a bit scody looking. However, I'm going back to uni & doing a paper on insect biology. I'm so excited, I'll learn how to properly collect and mount them. 30% of the assessments involves making an insect collection. So I can send any double ups or whatever. And could potentially be keen for swapsies. That doesn't start til September though.
antwan
I did that paper last year, it's awesome! Raphael Didham isn't there anymore though he was a great lecturer.
bdspider
Ohh, I've heard of him. Where's he gone? Off on another research trip? Can't wait to do the paper, I'm focusing on marine bio but the insect one was suggested to me as well.

si_sphinx
Do you have a Bassaris gonerilla??? (red admiral) Just found a really nice one on a brick window sill, wings splayed out, dead. has great coloring.
Zev
ok - I have a large black and yellow wasp in a cream container - who wants it? Could be a common or German, but the container is not see through enough for me to get a good look at the pattern on the back. It is sounding very angry and the cat is very interested in it - you will have to provide instructions for dealing with it
