N1CK Posted November 26, 2009 Report Share Posted November 26, 2009 It's fine for fighters, as long as they have large daily water changes(preferably 100%) and exercise though things like flaring they will live in jars happily. people often use even smaller containers that that and still manage to breed some very good and healthy fighters Have you noticed that most people that breed smaller fish(like killies) don't actually use filters? There was about one and half cups of water in each bag, and about a cup ull of air MAX!! He said they can live in tiny puddles in the rice fields. spoon Posted November 26, 2009 Report Share Posted November 26, 2009 I am not really into fighters but boy would I love to see that in the wild! they can breathe atmospheric air through an organ on thier head afaik all anabantanoids are the same gouramis etc . this is what ensures their survival in places like rice paddys- muddy ,hot, water short on oxygen .
