Wanted: ideas

Slightly Blue Dalmation

Recommended Posts

Well its been a while since been on here, have a lovely rio 300L tank(once fixed) and cant decide what to put in it. Don't really have too much in mind other than i dont really want it to be planted, well heavily anyway. So fire away with suggestions and il see if something grabs my fancy :)

Already have a 200L with peacocks e.yellows and demasoni so not any of them :)

Fryeri, Kenyi, Ice blue zebra's and julichromis :D

:P

Amazon themed or Asian themed

In an Amazon tank:

-2/3 plecos/BN's

-school or 2 of tetras e.g neons/rummynoses ect, prob around 30

-trio cockatoo dwarf cichlids or blue rams (feature fish) unless you want discus

- 10+ ottos

- then a school of cories depeneding on what takes your fancy

(I have something like this planned for a 4fter :P)

In an Asian tank:

-a few gourami

-species of rasbora, 30+ again

-10ish glass cats

-some loaches, smaller ones are zebras (7-8cm),golden zebras(look completely different, around 11-12cm)) and yoyo loaches (14-15cm)

ooo some nice suggestions, the reason for not wanting too heavily planted was dont have too much spare time so wanting something relatively easy care, as opposed to my last planted tank which was a pain as it grew too well and forever trimming and what not.

oooo didnt think of killifish, if someone can give me a bit more info on setting one up and or people to talk to to get hold of killies without spending a large fortune that could be cool

Its a rio 300!

just have a foreground of glosso and some rocks.

The tank would be a little too hot for natives without a chiller - but that's a neat idea if you like native fish.

I would have a catfish tank. - pictus cats, whiptails, plecos, cories. Doesn't need to be heavily planted, but you sure do have the lights to grow just about anything you want.

Hows that parrot of yours doing? :D
