Zev
What is it with you guys and chocolate cake? - I hope this does not set a precedent for all the other clubs, members may think they are missing out if there is not one provided at every meeting! Wok
We normally have at least one type of chocolate biscuit to go with our tea and coffee. since I am in the mood for baking, might as well do one for the Auckland Fishkeepers as well. Zev
Be careful, Aaron, you realise the cake Wok is talking about is baked in a roasting pan, and smothered in chocolate ganache icing - you could get lost in there!
Wok
First visit is always free. If you are not a club member, come on and see what we are like. who knows, you might enjoy our company and what to join.
Wok
Sorry Guys I won't be able to make it to this months meeting. Wife's birthday on Tuesday, those who are married or in a long term relationship know where I stand, or could end up sleeping if I am not home for that. I will however endeavour to make a cake and have it at the meeting. Cheers Wok
Caryl
Family always comes first! Have you thought of taking her and the kids to the meeting and telling her it is a surprise birthday party? It could easily be turned into one.
Wok
That could of worked Caryl, if I had not gone out last night to celebrate her birthday

Wok
Another problem is that the kids need to go to school the following morning. we don't normally finish our meeting till around 9.30, and my kids go to bed around 8.00pm So that ain't gonna work either.
