JarrenB
Hi all I got my Aquarium World a few days ago and I saw the article "Ultimate Beginners' Breeding Guide" by Paul Young. (pg 14-15) So now I want to give white cloud mountain minnows a go, I'm going to hastings today so I will look at Aqua Fever for the fish. And I will look for the plants... "2x Indian Fern or Water Sprite" but the article does say "and free from other club members" hint hint  I have a 60L tank, and gravel but I will need to get a HOB today as well. If anyone has plants or fish let me know otherwise please let me know anything else about breeding them.
Caryl
Good on you for actually reading the magazine Good also to see you were inspired by one of the articles Good on Paul for sending in the article :bounce: White clouds are easy to breed as you just add a group to a well planted tank with good water quality and food and eventually you will get fry. Be aware their fry are very very small and often not noticed for a week or two! They often cling to the glass or are found among the leaves if you look down on the tank from above and shine a torch in there. Their eyes reflect in the light. Zev
I got some Indian fern off Hollenfrost at the last HBAS auction, you could try giving her a PM, but she isn't on here much. I have some, but it is looking a bit mankey at the moment due to low light conditions, and don't really want to pass them on... I may have some WCMM's coming down for me at the Exec meeting next week, I will find out and let you know if i can get some more for you. Zev
Hi Jarren, I have some WCMM's that I will be picking up on Saturday, I will give you a ring when we get back to arrange pick up/drop off.

JarrenB
I will be at home Sunday so I can pick up or you can drop off at anytime, I have had tank set-up for 4 days now I used old filter media and 30% old water to try and kick start the tank cycle - I hope this is right - so I'm ready to go. "Can't Wait" so far I have Guppies and Platys breeding so after I breed these I'll try Swordtails and Zebra Danios.
Zev
I rang this afternoon, but no reply! I can drop them off on my way home from work tomorrow, around 4.30pm, if you like. If you have any fry that you want counted for registration, let me know and I will bring some forms with me as well.
JarrenB
Yes 4:30pm will be great. (My mum announced a surprise visit to my grandparents house today so I missed your call  ) I have some guppy fry that were born 2 days ago and there is more than 10 so if you could sight them for me that would be great. My brother has some guppy fry as well. As for the platys they are still inside their mum, there is only 1 male and 1 female as there seems to be a female shortage at Aqua Fever. Thank You
Zev
Ok, will drop them off tomorrow. Your fry have to be 30 days old before they are counted, keep a record of the date they were born, and let the HBAS breeding co-ordinator know at the next meeting, he will record it and send someone around to count them for you. You need to have 10 fry in order to register the breeding.
