Jaide
I'm using melafix - is there anything else that works better?
alanmin4304
It is normally caused by a bacterial infection where the bacteria are producing gas and pushing the eye out. Furan might be better.
LYNDYLOO
Would definitely go with the Furan2 rather than the Melafix Unfortunately I have never seen a Fish pull through successfully when it's come Popeye Worth a try away, Good Luck
Jaide
Lucky for me I have a whole packet of the stuff so Furan it is - I won't give up on my sick fish without a fight - it's my black clown angelfish that's got pop eye - not letting him go if I can help it! Thanks

imsweet
Unfortunately I have never seen a Fish pull through successfully when it's come Popeye I have a female albino glowlight tetra that had popeye. Was stunned when i saw her and did a search on here to find what was wrong/ causing it etc. She also went pale and bloated too. Did an immediate water change, stopped feeding so much and have been doing more regular changes...... she's come right. Wondered if that's why i have an ordinary glowlight male with a missing eye... it popped perhaps? But am keeping a close eye on them now. enzoom1
My leopard ctenopoma had popeye. At the time I didn't know much about it so I added some tonic salt and did more frequent water changes. He pulled through no problem and got to keep his eye aswell which was a bonus
