Fmxmatt
So i've been hunting through alot of old posts, all the way back to 2007, and seeing pics of EBJD's of a few months old (Currently where mine are) How are these fish going now? How big are they? Any breeding happening? Want to share some pics? I'm quite keen to see some "older" EBJD's to see how they have developed etc. I'll take some photos of my 2 tonight to share, but i'm hoping someone will get started before I get home

enzoom1
Nice EBJD's Fmxmatt. How big are they? Mine is about 3" but not as blue as yours. He/She's got more black.
Fmxmatt
Not including the tail (I assume when measuring freshies its the same as marine?) the female would be 2 inches, and male 2.5 - 3 inches Ultimately i'm after 2x large fish for the tank, and the EBJD look awesome fully grown, how could I resist? Shame it takes so long to grow though! lol Not sure if other EBJD owners are aware, but I found a EBJD forum with some interesting topics. Worth a look http://bluejax.14.forumer.com/ :bounce:

new zealand discus man
Hi I via trade me got a standard JD pair and when i picked up seller also had a trio of EBJD and was leaving nz..Plus great root covered in java moss thats going in 1300 L tank im doing shortly..{ Clients Tank } So Male is 120mm and 2 females are 80mm.. Set in 190 L tank as breeding set up "This will be very interesting." All getting on fine and no fighting but expect one female will get a hard time shortly.. Being imports that might well be sterile and time will tell.. Cheers Phill
firenzenz
Will try and get some shots up of mine. Now have two males bewteen 15cm-17cm and one 14cm BGJD female in tank with largest male. These two have been sparring and liplocking constantly but no spawning, or nothing from it. Smaller male also has flecks of gold through him. It will be interesting with Phil's experiment, as there are no reported successfull breeding of EBJD X EBJD to viable young.
