livingart
predatory fish can be funny sometimes, they will sometimes leave fish alone that have grown in the tank with them but eat new introductions, i have learnt not to trust big mouthed fish
David R
Seen it happen more than once with big bichirs, they're lazy and will ignore smaller fish if well fed, but when you go on holiday and don't feed them for a few days...... Lynnie
Sorry to hear about your Oscar, Gee wouldnt have thought it would have fit in its mouth. Borneo tigers look as they have a little mouth. Its a learning game for us all, as some fish are ok in tanks with others some are not. Bad temperment comes with even the little ones. I had a male Malwai eye bitter who wanted to eat every thing in his tank. (only a baby too) got rid of it, got another one,(large male, ) he swims with every thing no problems.it was just a fish with bad attuide, (like many of us people),

darkfur
RIP my fighters are like that sometimes, I will put a young platy in with them that I could swear wouldn't fit in their little mouths but it disappears and the fighters look very pleased with themselves
