LYNDYLOO
I used to have a couple of Big Chocolate Gourami's, have to say they were the biggest Gourami's I've ever seen, seem to grow alot bigger than the others. Haven't seen them round for years

Haven't seen them round for years You sure you're thinking of the same 'chocolate gourami'? They arent a very big gourami species, smaller than all the golden, blud, threespot and pearl gouramis and the like

LYNDYLOO
Well who know's what they were then  Half the time the people in the Petshop's don't even know what the Fish are :-? They looked the same as a Gourami, Cere chocolate in colour, they seemed to be alot larger than any other gourami that I've had. Might have to go and google Snakeskin, see what that comes up with Lynda
phoenix44
choc gouramis are really nice fish - look totally different to any others, and are particularly sensitive to water conditions.
Luke*
larger than any other gourami that I've had. Lynda lol yea they're a cute fish, quite tiny. not thinking of a mother of pearl (white chocolate?)
LYNDYLOO
They were a similar size to the Snakeskin Gourami's, were Chocolate Brown with a couple of Brown Spots on their side. Obviously they were sold to me as Chocolate Gourami's but they weren't.
wayneh
A picture is worth 1000 words, but then again so is 1000 words, so here is both for those interested in this lovely little fish. Sadly mine succumbed to the wrong water conditions as I found this information some months afterwards.
