wasp
When I was a kid I caught a small octopus which I managed to keep alive for a few days till he climbed out. Would be pretty cool done properly. I saw a TV program where they showed octopus are quite intelligent, they were doing "rat in a maze" type tests on several captive octopus, the octopus actually seemed to enjoy it. fins
I could imagaine an octopus could easily lift a lid off a tank. You would have to put some massive weights on the lid as they are quite strong aswell. I think they eat mainly crustations such as crabs and crayfish. They suck all the meat out of them and you are left with a perfect skeleton of the cray or crab.
Caryl
We used to have an octopus in our cold water marine tank. Not too good as an inhabitant as he camouflaged himself so well we could rarely see him! He got out one night and was found fluffed to death on the carpet next morning
lduncan
Octopus are very smart, and very strong. You'd have to bolt the lid down. Layton
chimera
also, an octopus with a head the size of your fist can squeeze through a hole no larger than the diameter of a 20 cent piece! would love to have one, but they only live a couple of years at the most

Caryl
I didn't know cuttlefish could scuba! They are amazing creatures and it seems a shame many end up, as fins said, as white slabs in bird aviaries.
