Discusguru
Also is that the usual amount of water to transport a fish over seas with? Yes, it's normal to ship fish with minimal amount of water and more oxygen in the bag. It also reduce the shipping cost which is based on weight. ron
Adrienne
I was pleased that they presented the whole thing correctly and made it pretty clear that the risk was from disease that the fish may carry in without going through quarantine and what the water may have carried. I was worried that people were going to be led to believe that the fish themselves would kill other native fish. It is quite widely believed that fighters will fight with everything. Its also possible that there were bits of plant in the bag with the water and poo.

peanuts
I went to TVNZ on demand and couldn't find anything about whether they would be showing or have it available to show so sent an email - the reply was Unfortunately we do not have the rights to show this programme online. Kind regards, Joe Hackshaw TVNZ Video Content Producer so for those of us that missed it - we won't be able to see it unless someone had the foresight to tape it. did anyone tape it??
