Freakz Nz
Hello, i will post some pics of the repitles in my life as soon as i figure out how to do it, or more what i'm doing wrong ... keep getting sql error - doh ! I have "Munch" a bbaby beardie, Paddy a BT and a tattoo of a lizard on my arm : ] Paddy had a main squeze "Selma" but we re-homed her as they were getting it on and in the process she lost the last centimeter of her tail. It healed clean and is regenerating well, if she is up the duff, she should drop in march maybe ... Anyway will post some pics soon. chilli
very nice pics what do you feed the small skink?
Freakz Nz
Hi Chilli, The small skink was kept for a week in a little exo tera reptile encosure and I feed it slaters and fruit, it loved mushed up apple and banana, I put it back where i found it and the local population is doing well, plenty of babies. Hopefully the dogs and seagulls dont get to many of them. You see heaps without tails. : ]
Freakz Nz
Hi, Munch is outside getting some rays .... same with Paddy who is free-rangeing on the backyard. Munch is so funny, already giving me some attitude .... ggggrr !!! Anyone else in Wellington with BD's or BT's ?
David R
I felt bad for Chester having to spend the holidays in a 3'tank, so I made him an outdoor pen to run around in when its sunny, and when we're able to watch him. Unfortunately its been overcast for the past few days, apart from yesterday afternoon when we had him outside for a couple of hours. Some old timber + a 10M roll of weedmat + half an hour = cheap, easy and portable enclosure; Found some old junk under the house for him to climb on; Soaking up some rays, about to shed; Freedom!! livingart
weed matting can provide a lot of grip to an active dragon plastic sheeting may be more unclimable
David R
Yeah plastic would have been better, but either way I wouldn't leave him out there unsupervised as there are three cats and a dog running around, plus other predators like native hawks.
